Michael Wang is a member of ASME/IEEE Fellow, the dean of Robotics Research Institute of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and professor of Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Aeronautical Engineering of the University. He is a famous CAE expert and a professor of the Changjiang Scholars program. Now he works as the national specially-invited expert in The Recruitment Program of Global Experts. His research lies in motion control and advanced equipment technology with a focus on robot, automation, automatic control system, multi-functional material & structure and material additive manufacturing. He has published over 300 papers on the related fields.
